WatchBeck strikes again with another Velvet Underground cover. This time it’s “I’m Waiting For The Man.” I guess the premise of this Record Club thing is they do every song from an album and record it all in one day. Kind of amazing.

Great article from Steve Martin in The New Yorker on Michael Jackson. Includes a video clip of him moonwalking on “The New Show.” I actually saw this at the Musuem of Television & Radio in New York. That’s what nerds like me do for fun on weekends. We go to midtown to watch old tapes of Lorne Michaels’ 1984 ill-fated Friday night NBC sketch show.

Beck does an amazing version of “Sunday Morning” by The Velvet Underground. It’s the first entry in a new section of his website called Record Club, which is described as “an informal meeting of various people to record an album in a day.”
We’ve added this song into rotation on Sirius XMU and it will be on the Saturday edition of the Download 15.
Watch“Michael and Michael Have Issues” is a new television show from two fine gentlemen named Michael, Michael Showalter and Michael Ian Black. It premieres July 15th at 10:30PM on Comedy Central. I encourage you to watch.
