 was fourteen years-old when he created "SQUiRT TV."  Filmed out of his bedroom for Manhattan Public Access, "SQUiRT TV" was an instant cult success throughout New York City.   Jake's unique take on popular culture attracted an A-list fan base of night owls.  In a trajectory echoing the film "Wayne's World," Jake's one-man operation was picked up by MTV.  "SQUiRT TV" was still filmed from Jake's bedroom.  Everyone thought it was a studio.

Jake's hosted his own hour-long special for Comedy Central and has made guest appearances on "The Howard Stern Show," and "Late Night With Conan O'Brien."  He had a memorable cameo in the film, “Wet Hot American Summer," and can be seen for eleven seconds in “Gigantic: A Tale Of Two Johns,” the documentary on They Might Be Giants. 

Jake is a regular commentator on VH1's, "I Love The..." series and a former writer for "Best Week Ever."  He has contributed jokes to Weekend Update on "Saturday Night Live" and written for magazines including, Spin, Ray Gun, Bikini, Alternative Press, Jane and The Onion. 

Jake served as the assistant director for Sarah Silverman's one-woman show “Jesus Is Magic” at Joe's Pub. He's worked on tour with the Upright Citizens Brigade and has developed numerous comedy projects at their downtown New York City theatre. 

At UCB, Fogelnest has directed "George Bush Is A Motherfucker" produced by Adam McKay, "A Ho Ho Horatio Christmas Show" starring Horatio Sanz and co-directed "Eye Candy" with Amy Poehler.  "Eye Candy" was an official selection of the 2002 HBO US Comedy Arts Festival.  In 2003 Jake won the Emerging Comics Of New York Award for his work as a director.

In 2004, Jake joined the air-staff as a disc jockey on WXRK, 92.3 K-Rock.  At K-Rock, Jake received the 2004 New York City A.I.R. Award for hosting “The Top 92 Worst Xmas Songs Of All-Time.”  When K-Rock switched to the Free-FM format, Jake stayed at the station to helm a late-night talk show.  

Jake left Free-FM in April 2006 to join the revolution at Sirius Satellite Radio.  He can be heard seven days a week from 6am-12pm (EST) on Channel 26, Left Of Center.

Jake Fogelnest lives in the East Village, the neighborhood depicted in the broadway musical, "Rent."
