I wish every movie studio would do this.  Warner Brothers has just opened up the “Warner Archives.”  Check out this EW article.

You can order custom DVD’s for $19.95.  It’s mostly a bunch of old movies, but mixed in there was the Paul Simon film, “One Trick Pony.”  It’s sort-of like Rhino Handmade, giving you access to stuff that may not sell a million copies, but may sell a thousand.  So for the thousand people that are interested, they’ll print up DVD’s.

The days of hunting down a long lost out of print bootleg are coming to an end.  Soon, everyone will be able to get everything all the time.  Part of me really digs that, but it sort of takes the fun out of the search.  It makes it less special in a way.  The good news is, I’ll have “One Trick Pony” on DVD in about a week!
