Harold and Maude

Tonight at the Bryant Park Film Festival they’re showing “Harold and Maude.”  Can’t really think of a good excuse not to go.  Should start right at sunset, probably around 8:00 PM.  They’re open the park for people at 5:00 PM.

1n 1972, WNEW-FM DJ, Scott Muni took a call live on the air from a hostage-holding bank robber.  This would serve as part of the inspiration for the Al Pacino film, “Dog Day Afternoon.”

One of my favorite summer activities in New York is the Bryant Park Film Festival.  They put up a big outdoor movie screen and play classic films at sunset.  Tonight’s selection is, you guessed it - “Peggy Sue Got Married.”

No, it’s “Dog Day Afternoon.”
