New Iamaphoney video on YouTube!

You tricky bastard, iamaphoney!  The video he posted yesterday has been removed!  He’s replaced it with this new one.  IF you missed the original video… I guess you’ll never know the truth about the mysterious death of Paul McCartney.

Yeah!  Another video from Iamaphoney just went up!  That’s the guy who has been posting these insane video collages for the past couple years that play into the whole “Paul McCartney is dead” mythology.  The latest video features his typical unnerving craziness.

Iamaphoney posts these videos seemingly at random and everything is done anonymously.  it’s been going on for years and from the latest video, looks as if it will continue going for quite some time.  There’s three dates attached to three projects listed in the latest YouTube clip:

09/11/10 - TheRottenApple - TheMovie

10/03/11 - TheRightAlbum - TheAlbum

11/09/12 - TheRevelA†ion - TheTruth

The crazy thing is, there actually is a movie coming out on DVD in September.  A couple weeks ago I came across a website for a “documentary” called, “Paul McCartney Really Is Dead: The Last Testament Of George Harrison.”  It doesn’t appear to be directly related to Iamaphoney’s work but I wouldn’t be surprised if there’s some connection.  The flick looks really cool!  I wrote to the website and asked if they could send me a screener to review and they graciously have dropped one in the mail.  I’ve been checking my box at Sirius XM every day in anticipation.  You can pre-order the DVD  and watch the trailer on their website.

It’s amazing how this whole “Paul Is Dead” craziness which started as a College rumor in 1969 has continued to grow for over thirty years.  The incident that really set the story in the motion happened on October 21st, 1969 on WABC-AM in New York City.  DJ Roby Yonge started to receive weird phone calls from listeners begging him to get this story of Paul’s death out to the world.  At the same time, Roby had been given a tipoff that he was about two weeks away from being fired by WABC management.

It was late at night.  He was all alone and had full control of the most powerful radio station in America.  He went on the air

WABC was a gigantic 50,000 watt AM radio station.  On a clear night its signal could sometimes be picked up by 38 different states.  That’s one powerful microphone to be using in 1969.  It continues

The broadcast began at 12:39 AM and because it was so late at night, Roby Yonge was the only person at the station, giving him full control of WABC.  it would take an hour and a half before management was finally able to get someone down to the studio to pull him off the air.  Just enough time to create one of the greatest rock and roll myths of all-time.

Yes he’s back!  One of my favorite things on YouTube is Iamaphoney.  Someone has been making these totally insane video collages based around the whole “Paul Is Dead” myth for a couple of years.  The videos are always super creepy and a two new ones were posted yesterday.

There seems to be other people on the web who are as obsessed by this anonymous weirdo as I am.  I found this blog where someone analyzes the iamaphoney videos in depth.  Thank god for weirdos with free time and then Internet!

Seriously though whoever is behind this whole iamaphoney thing is really cool.  It’s a great project and I’m always excited when a new video shows up online.

You had to know Iamaphoney would post a video today!  I love this dude for keeping the “Paul Is Dead” legend alive!

Sorry for the lack of updates here lately.  I’ve been doing a lot of broadcasting on Stickam, just dickin’ around, nothing earth shattering.

Just saw Russell Brand do a warm up for the VMA’s at a little theatre on Bleecker Street.  He was brilliant as usual.  I’ve become a really big fan of his stuff.

I’ll post a bunch more stuff tomorrow! Until then, Seacrest out.

I LOVE THIS GUY.  As soon as I saw Paul McCartney and David Letterman discussing the “Paul Is Dead” rumors, I thought to myself “I can’t wait to see what Iamaphoney does with this on YouTube!”

Iamaphoney is some anonymous weirdo on YouTube who makes these super creepy videos based around the whole “Paul Is Dead” mythology.  He’s done close to a hundred of these bizarre collage videos and each one is more entertaining than the next.  Keep up the good work, Mr. anonymous weirdo!
