Internet… I give you “Plate Boy and Cup Boy!”
I cannot tell you how happy I am that this classic scene from SNL dress rehearsal is finally being shown to a wider audience. I had the pleasure of seeing this scene only ONCE over a decade ago in Jimmy and Horatio’s old 17th floor office. It is a scene that has stuck with me ever since.
If you thought Alec Baldwin’s performance is “Miami Blues” was riveting, wait until you see this sketch. This is Jimmy Fallon and Horatio Sanz’s “SMiLE” album. “Plate Boy and Cup Boy” was a misunderstood masterpiece in its time and work on it was abandoned far too quickly. Now in 2011, we can finally see it and truly appreciate the genius at work.
Another reason why @JimmyFallon wins the Internet! If you watched closely during the Stephen Colbert/Rebecca Black “Friday” spectacular, you saw Seth Herzog holding up a sign with a QR Barcode!
