The Max Headroom Broadcast Signal Intrusion Incident was a television signal hijacking in Chicago, Illinois, on the evening of November 22, 1987. It is an example of what is known in the television business as broadcast signal intrusion. The intruder was successful in interrupting two television stations within three hours. Neither the hijacker nor the accomplices have ever been found or identified.

The news reports about this scared the shit out of me when I was a kid. Watch what happened here.

I was wondering when people were going to start taking advantage of all those new free analog channels due to the DTV switchover. Yes, we need more of this please! These guys aren’t currently broadcasting but I believe this gentlemen has just started up something similar.

Reminds me of THIS which scared the crap out of me when I was a kid…

Cleveland’s showing of “LOST” last night was a pixelated and choppy mess.  There was some kind of interference with the microwave transmitter that sent the show from the network to the Cleveland affiliate.  Now isn’t it interesting that this happened in Cleveland?  Could this interference have been caused by the arrival of Howard The Duck?

If you live in Cleveland be on the lookout for a sarcastic duck that wears sunglasses.  It could’ve been a lot of worse though.  At least a crazy dude didn’t break into the signal wearing a Max Headroom mask.

Sorry Cleveland.  Now you’ll never know how the island killed Laura Palmer.
