One night several years ago, Taylor Momsen’s father took his daughter to a White Stripes show. “Before that, the only concert I’d been to was Britney Spears,” says the singer, songwriter, and guitarist. “But once I saw Jack White onstage, that was it. I grew up as a dancer and I thought you had to dance to be a girl in the music industry. Then I saw the White Stripes and I was like, ‘No, you don’t. I can do that.’” Momsen was nine.

For some reason the new video from Taylor Momsen’s band The Pretty Reckless is stirring up controversy. I don’t really get it. Seems pretty pedestrian to me. Have I become desensitized?

I’m kinda hesitant to say anything negative about Taylor Momsen’s obviously terrible music. You know, just in case I meet her and for some reason she wants to fuck me. I’d be really bummed out if right before Taylor Momsen was about to fuck me, she said, “Wait, let me just google really quick to see if you’ve ever said anything bad about my music.”

I guess if that happened she’d probably come across this blog. I’m sorry, Taylor. You have to understand - I really didn’t think I’d ever get the chance to fuck you. Hey, what do I know anyway? I’m not a musician! I bet if I started a band it would be total derivative horseshit too! Can we still have sex? Whatever.
