Last night @itsmeleighton aka BLAIR WALDORF performed with @weezer and it was highly entertaining.
Some of you may know about the “feud” I had with Weezer when I was a teenager. It was 1995, I was a big fan of their band, I went to visit them backstage at one of their shows and they were kind of jerks. Well, better yet - watch the whole saga here:
As you’ll see in that second video, when my old show “SQUiRT TV” was in the process of moving to MTV, Weezer were informed, “You guys are banned from MTV unless you apologize to Jake Fogelnest!” Of course, Weezer came up to my office and “made amends.” We filmed it.
Anyway, I post this footage of me as awkward teen because I received a phone call last week informing Weezer would to meet AGAIN. This will be happening tomorrow afternoon.
I am not sure what the outcome of this meeting will be, but I will be sure to keep you posted. I expect it will be a nice encounter. I’ve matured. They no longer work with Matt Sharp. Should be fun. Stay tuned…
